Our Mission

Our Mission at Dreams With Wings

Empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities and autism, as they recognize their strengths, contribute to their community and pursue their dreams.

How Dreams With Wings All Started

Dreams With Wings was started in 2000 by a group of individuals who wanted to improve the quality of services, programs, and community inclusion for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities including autism.

Initially started to provide residential housing in the Louisville area, today we have grown to support over 340 individuals in 11 residential homes, and 4 apartment buildings. In addition, Dreams With Wings offers an Adult Day Program, Supported Employment, Summer Camp Programs, Behavior Supports, Occupational, ABA, Physical, Psychological and Speech Therapies. We are located in the heart of the Highlands in Louisville and led by our Executive Director, Jenifer Frommeyer.

Jenifer Frommeyer has a background in providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and is the mother of a son with Down syndrome. A graduate of Bellarmine’s Masters program in Education, Ms. Frommeyer has worked in the special needs field for over 20 years. As an active member of provider coalitions, Ms. Frommeyer advocates regularly in Frankfort for members of the Division of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities community. She also encourages those individuals to advocate for themselves by educating them on important issues. Dreams With Wings operates with a dedicated Board of Directors and staff.
