Teen & YA Education Program
The Teen and YA Education program expands opportunities for teens to develop social and independent learning skills, leading to inclusion and a higher quality of life for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The vision of Dreams with Wings is to ensure that children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism can be fully included in the community, achieve personal success, and enjoy a meaningful day! Our summer camp program has provided many of these opportunities for children and teens for the past 22 years. Over the last several years, camp surveys from families have indicated a desire for additional programs throughout the year.
Dreams with Wings is providing opportunities for social inclusion, participation in wellness programs, acquisition of independent living skills, and making new friends. Programs will be for individuals who are 13-29 years of age. Each session is tailored to fit the interests and ability levels of our participants, but generally could include games, art projects, light cooking/food preparation, outside activities and/or community explorations. These experiences are used to practice various social and safety skills with our participants, again, at their need and ability level.
Enrichment Group (Flying Solo) (Ages 13-29)
