Dare to Dream: A Caribbean Night Sets New Records for Dreams With Wings

This year's Dare to Dream: A Caribbean Night brought island breezes, steel drum rhythms, and an unforgettable wave of generosity to Progress Park. On September 17th, our community came together for an unforgettable evening of island spirit, generosity, and celebration......and the results were record-breaking!

Our Biggest Crowd Yet

With over 220 guests in attendance, this year marked the highest turnout for this annual event. From longtime supporters to first-time guests, the energy throughout the evening was as lively as the tropical decor. Guests sipped island drinks and savored delicious appetizers, all while browsing a silent auction showcasing the incredible artwork created by Dreamers and donations from local businesses.

As the sunset, guests joined a conga line to dinner where they sat at beautifully decorated tables for a delicious dinner, an exciting live auction, and a moving family testimonial that reminded everyone exactly why we gather each year, to celebrate the dreams, determination, and achievements of the individuals and families in our Dreams With Wings community.

Surpassing Our Fundraising Goal

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and guests, Dare to Dream didn't just meet this year's fundraising goal, we rode the wave right past it.  All funds raised go directly toward funding the programs that matter most: residential services, occupational, physical, and speech therapies, employment training and placement, adult day programs, summer camps, and teen and young adult activities.

Every ticket purchased, every auction bid placed, and every sponsorship given helped make this milestone possible.

With this year's record-breaking attendance and fundraising success, we're already dreaming up what's next. While we'll always cherish the island breezes and Caribbean spirit of this year's event, we're thrilled to announce that next year's Dare to Dream will transport guests from paradise to the silver screen, with an Old Hollywood theme!

Get ready to trade your leis for pearls and your Hawaiian shirts for suits as we roll out the red carpet for an evening of timeless glamour, all in support of the dreams we celebrate every day.
